How is the KalSarp Yog formed ?
If all the seven planets come between Rahu and Ketu then
KalSarp Yog formed.
Because of its evil effect the KalSarpa Yog is known as KalSarp Dosha.
KalSarpa Dosh should not be confuses with Nag /
Naga Dosha or Karaka Dosha
Why is KalSarp Yog formed?
According to the situation of Rahu in 12 houses of horoscope there are KalSarp Yogas of 12 major types.

The KalSarp Yog is further categorized into two types- Uttari Golaardh KalSarp Yog and Dakshini Goalaardh KalSarp Yog. It is believed that if all the 7 planets are eaten away by Rahu's mouth then it is Ascending KalSarp Yog. If all planets are situated in back of Rahu then Descending KalSarp Yog is formed.
